Week in Review

This may have been the busiest week ever for us!  So I decided to make this a week in review.  Here goes:

Last Saturday:  Christian had a baseball game at 10 am.  It was a tough game as we played the Prosper team that won the Dixie World Series last year.  The first two innings the boys played great and held 'em by going 3 up 3 down both times but then it got a little ugly.  The coach came up after the game though and told us we were the stiffest competition they have had!  It was a tough loss.  Later that night the boys were invited to spend the night at the Ubanoski's.  I wanted wings and suggested a visit to Hooters followed by quick shopping trip to Krogers.  That ladies and gentlemen was an impromptu date night!

Sunday:  We worked all day preparing for a sales meeting at 4 that afternoon.  By the time that ended at 7:45pm we were starving and decided after a few failed attempts at other places to go eat at Trail Dust with Josh, Lex and Kaden.  We were all starving and the boys had fun going down the slide 13,000 times.

Monday:  I went up to the school to work the book fair and get things ready for Open House Tuesday night.  Later that night Carson had a t-ball game in Pilot Point.   The PP coach decided we were going to play competitive T-ball (never heard of it) and informed us we were playing for outs.  After the two Chads, the PP coach and PP commissioner finished their pow-wow we did in fact play competitive T-ball since PP was the home team.  The boys adapted and played great.  I was given strict instructions as the 3rd base coach to send them home and that is what we did. Pa Pa came to watch Carson play and after the game we all went to the italian restaurant in Aubrey for dinner.  Pa Pa surprised Christian with $200 to put towards an iTouch that he mentioned the last time they were together.  Pretty nice!

Tuesday:  Open House!  I spent the latter part of the afternoon getting things ready at the school.  We got home at 4pm for a quick change, snacks and to grab a few things before heading back up to the school for open house.  Thank god my mom and grandparents were there to keep the boys occupied as I was a little stressed manning the popcorn machine and ladling lemonade into cups all night.  Christian gave them all a tour of the school, went in to his classroom, got books in the book fair and hung out in the cafeteria for snacks.  Mr. Pasqua gave everyone the good news that Christian would be receiving the Principals Pride award for this 6 weeks!  Before the night was over I did make the visit to his classroom too, before cleaning up, heading home and ordering Palios.  This is what he had waiting for us on his desk as well as a clay pinch pot:

Wednesday:  After picking the boys up from school on Wednesday we had to run to Aubrey to pick up some signs.  While we were in that neck of the woods Christian called Grammy to see if she was home.  We decided to stop in over there and visit for a few minutes before heading to Awanas.  Christian and Grammy started talking about movies and after I got off the phone from placing a few orders we all decided to go see the movie Rio in 30 minutes.  It was a really cute movie and much deserved break for all of us!  On the way home we stopped at the store to grab stuff to make Bunny Tails and came home.  Chad was already passed out.

Thursday:  Easter parties!

After school, we ran by the house to grab Chad and made a quick trip to Frisco so Christian could get his iTouch.  It was a tough thing for me to go out and buy because I still feel like he is a little young for a toy like that but at the same time he is getting so big and that is scaring me to death. In the middle of waiting for Christian to make his decision between the blue and orange case, Carson set off the alarm to one of the iPods on display.  It's always an adventure!  We finally checked out without the cops being called and got home so Chad and Christian could set up his iTouch.  That night was Kindergarten Round-up so Carson and I left to go to that.  We had a PTA table set-up to recruit volunteers and sell school supplies, Carson ran around playing with friends and I registered my baby for kindergarten. :(  I came home and told Chad that between the iTouch and round-up it was a rough day.

Friday:  Last night Carson had another T-ball game in Gunter at 6.  It was a beautiful night and after a long week we decided to head over to Clay and Jenn's for a little food and friends.  Unfortunately the night was not over because two minutes after leaving the ball park Chad got pulled over for speeding.  When he asked Chad for his license and insurance, we quickly handed him our insurance card but then had to inform him that Chad left the house without his wallet and my registration is out.  I honestly did go to Frisco that morning to get a new sticker forgetting that it was Good Friday and the office was closed.  I told the officer my story as I saw him glance at the sticker the only problem was my sticker has been out since December.  It is the truth though.....only because I got a ticket earlier in the week in Aubrey for the same exact thing.  Chad and I sat there taking bets on how many citations we would be receiving and were shocked when he came back and said we would only be ticketed for speeding and just given verbal warnings on the other two.  That is great except for the fact that the speeding ticket will be the most expensive and our third for the week, yes Chad got a ticket too earlier in the week, and paired with mine makes 3!

Now it is Saturday and I am in my pj's catching up on everything, doing laundry and doing things around the house!
