Happy Birthday Carson

I am bummed.  The battery on my camera died so I was unable to get any photographs from the rest of Carson's 6th Birthday with his family.  I did get these from Grandma though of Carson opening his presents.  He was quite the character.

This present might be more for me :)

Here he is giving his cowboy impersonation in Uncle Ross' cowboy hat that was passed down to him.

Rolling Video Games

For Carson's Batman themed 6th birthday party with his friends, we had the Rolling Video Games truck come to the house after school for some serious fun!  This was a new idea we came up with a week before the big day and the boys could not wait for the truck to pull up.  Here are a few of the boys waiting patiently for him to set up once he got there.

The inside of the trailer was really nice!

Sweet brothers ready to play

Happy Birthday to me!!

The boys could not believe all the games he had and loved all playing together

Casey doing Just Dance 3 right before we got out the Michael Jackson Experience game.......we mommies LOVED that one!!  Thank goodness no pictures.

After video games we went back in the house for pizza and cookie cake.

A Super Mom Kind of Day

December 14, 2011....Carson's 6th birthday, the Christmas Corral, Christian's play, The Grinch, and two birthday parties, it was a Super Mom kind of day!  Let's see, how did it all go?  I dropped the boys off at school but walked in with Carson and his cupcakes to get the Christmas Corral kicked off for the day.  About 10:30, I left there to pick up lunch at Burger Fixins and head to the intermediate school to meet Chad and Christian before his play 11:30 play. After lunch we walked in to Christian's Language Arts class for their production...

Before the play began, Mrs. H gave an introduction welcoming all the parents and explaining the reasoning behind Christian yellow Jelly bean looking costume.  She explained how he got the nickname Squash earlier in the year and when it came time for Christian's part in the play he asked if they could adapt his character so that he could play a squash.  She gladly agreed and asked that he bring in two pieces of yellow poster board so they could create his costume.  After pulling up several different images on the internet, Christian decided he wanted his squash costume to look like this.....and there you have a squash!

Christian saying his lines in the play.  It was a very cute little production, and in fact the class was asked to perform it several times that week for other classes, etc.

Unfortunately, we had to leave quickly after the play to head back to the elementary school, as we heard someone special was going to be making a guest appearance.  Christian really wanted to come too, so we let him get out of school, grab his back pack and hang with us for the remainder of the day.

It's a bird,
it's a plane,
it's the GRINCH?

Yes, that is Mr. Grinch headed down the kindergarten hall at Celina Elementary with Christian and Chad behind the camera! Hmmm.....

The kindergarten students were all gathered in this room listening to one of their teachers read the Grinch when in walked the Grinch himself!

After a few big waves and introduction, the kids all walked out single file for their chance to get a special candy cane from the Grinch. A few kids cried and refused to get anywhere near him, but the majority of the kids could not wait for their chance to give the mean ole grinch a great big hug!

Never too old to pose with the grinch

Joel, Kara and McKynna came up to the Christmas Corral.  Unfortunately McKynna took one look at the Grinch, burst into tears and ran in between Joel's legs.  Here she is saying "NO NO Grinch"

Afterwards, the Grinch went in to each classroom and took pictures.  Some of the kids just insisted they knew that Carson's mom was the Grinch.  I don't know where they would ever get that idea.

Once the Grinch left, I ran back home to get the house ready for Carson's first party of the afternoon with his friends.  I had exactly one hour to run home, get the house ready and pick up the pizza, and place catering order for family dinner before picking up a suburban full of boys and bringing them back to the house for the party.  No way this momma is cooking tonight.

Milly and Landry were feeling very festive this year and wanted to pose for their own Christmas pics.  Don't they look thrilled?

Gingerbread Houses

Time for the annual creation of our gingerbread house, however this year it turned into houses as we figured the boys would each want to create their own.  We lined everything out so that daddy could easily help them with the assembly before it came time for the fun stuff!

Ready for the fun to begin!

Now that they are assembled it was time for icing.

Chad proved he could multi-task while doing this

Let the creativity flow

Look at that creation...

Looks good.  Of course Christian wanted to know which one was the best
