The Tooth Fairy Came

Well, my baby boy is growing up quickly before my eyes.  This morning I noticed when brushing his teeth that one of his teeth on the bottom was loose and the adult tooth was already coming in behind it.  He must have wiggled that thing all day because by that night he wiggled it right out all by himself.  I am so glad we had family pictures the week before.

Proud of the $5 left to him by the tooth fairy

3rd Grade Music Program

This was the night of Christian's 3rd Grade Music Program, which also happened to be the same day he came home from school to tell me the big news....HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND.  What???
Yes, it is evidently official as he told one friend and so did she while they were practicing for the music program.  She asked him to put on his Santa hat if he liked her for a girlfriend or leave it off if he just liked her for a friend.  I asked him what he did and he said,  "I put my hat on and she squealed".  I am SO not ready for this.

Looking handsome in his plain white shirt before we head to school.

Christian with Ta Ta and Grandma

Before the music program began, we got to go in and see his classroom.  This was on the front of Christian's cubby.

We found this on the wall from his biography book report

We walked in to the cafetorium to find a packed house.  People were literally lined up against the walls as all the seats were taken.  Fortunately, I was given a little added benefit of 4 reserved seats on the second row!  Unfortunately Christian and his class walked in and all the way to the right to the opposite end from where we were sitting.  The kids did a great job singing all of their songs.

After the performance we went back to his class room to find Christian, Brock and Justin hamming it up.  If it is anything like this on a daily basis, I feel sorry for his teacher.  They were definitely having fun.

Love it!

Ignore the hand pointing on this next picture.  Christian has made it to division on the math hall of fame.

Christian and Mrs. Stogner ---- another Baylor Bear!

In fact we walked in the front door of the school to find this picture hanging up that Christian had drawn for her...

Oh Christmas Tree....

And here is the bobcat tree in our entry way.  My picture cut the helmet off the top.

The Adventures of Tree Hopper

Our elf on the shelf, Treehopper arrived the day after Thanksgiving and marked the 4th year that he came to live with our family between Thanksgiving and Christmas.  Every night he flies back to the North Pole to report to Santa but he is always back in our house hiding somewhere for the boys to find him when they wake up the next morning.  He has been a wonderful addition to our family during the holidays, and the boys truly love that he is here looking in on them.

This year, Tree Hopper was a bit more adventurous!  Instead of hiding in the normal places like he has done the past few years, we noticed he started getting in to things this year while we were all asleep.

His first night back in the house

The boys could not believe it when they woke up to find Tree Hopper had made a zip line from the kitchen to the breakfast nook.

I guess he was having a "snowball fight"

He even turned the milk pink

This is where the boys found him the night he toilet papered their rooms

Midnight Snack??

The night he dried out my mascara

Relaxing in a bubble bath

Treehopper and the other elf's around town were quite the topic of conversation this year.  I can not count how many days Christian would get in the car and tell me about what his friend's elves did that night.  It was truly heartwarming to watch the magic he brought into our house each day.

Carson's Limo Ride to Lunch

After much anticipation, and the selling of a lot of cookie dough and eco-friendly tote bags, the day for Carson's first ride in a Limo was here.  He could not wait for this day to come.  A few weeks before this we were driving down the road when Carson spotted a white Hummer limo just like the one he knew he was going to ride in.  He pointed and blurted out, "Look, there is a white Hummer limbo just like my school."  It was really funny.  Of course now, if we ever see a limo out and about, we race to see who the first person will be to spot the limbo.

This is such a unique and fun prize for the kids!!

Here he is waiting by the front door of the school to watch it pull up.

Unable to contain his excitement

In the limbo

Why the frown Henry?

 Ready for lunch

Yummy pizza!  Now back to the limbo.

The Game of a Lifetime

After the incredible win against OU, Christian immediately declared that we have to go to the next Baylor game at Cowboys Stadium.  Thinking that was a great idea, I came home from the deer lease and immediately went online to purchase tickets for the upcoming game.  It was the day after you could purchase them through BU so I just went online to Ticketmaster and took my chances on getting seats on the Baylor home side.  Chad said to go ahead and splurge in hopes of finding the best seats we could. Low and behold after releasing the first two sets of tickets that popped up, it showed 4 tickets on the 3rd row of the lower level.  I immediately hit purchase and could not conceal my excitement.  The fam was finally headed to cheer on RG3 and the Bears, something we have not been able to do with Christian's pee-wee football schedule the past few years.

The night of the game we dressed in our green and gold and made our way to Arlington.  The traffic was terrible and do to the long pattern you have to take to get in to the reserved parking lot right beside the stadium, we were a few minutes late getting in.  We finally made our way down into our seats and it took just an instant to realize that we were sitting in the same section as the family members of the Baylor players.  OMG!  Literally, #3's mom and grandma (Sampson) were beside me, RG3's parents two rows behind us and directly behind us were the parents and brother of Jarod Monk, they were SO nice!  Let me just say this.  You have not truly experienced a college football game until you are surrounded by the loved ones of the players on the field.  It truly made our night 10X better and made this an evening I will never forget.  Each and every play, no matter what, was a big deal and cause for celebration!  We high fived, hugged and talked the entire game!  Come to find out the Monk family is from Wylie, and their high school coach is Lepsis, who Chad knew from Frisco.  I just can't express how nice their family was to Christian in talking and laughing back and forth, celebrating and making comments about his play and knowledge of the game. They wished him luck in his football career and said they hope to be cheering him on in about 10 years when he is a Baylor Bear!

RGIII

The boys loved these helmets that were passed out before the game.
Christian thought they were very cool because they look like the old leather helmets.

Great seats!

Look who we found.....Rob and Julianne were about two sections over

Cheering the Bears on to victory!  Great game!!

Sic 'em Bears!!
